Equipment Transport, LLC

The Investment

CIVC Partners recently formed a partnership with Dave Florance, founder and Chief Executive Officer, and the senior management team of Equipment Transport, LLC (“ET” or the “Company”), a leading well site services company headquartered in Carlisle, PA. Together with Dave Florance and his management team, CIVC made a substantial equity investment in the Company and M&T Bank Corporation provided senior debt credit facilities to support the investment and ET's growth strategies.

The Company

ET provides critical services supporting the drilling and hydraulic fracturing programs of major exploration and production ("E&P") companies. ET brings significant value to its E&P customers through a broad service offering that includes fluid transportation, waste management, heavy equipment hauling, and ancillary pad support services. ET's service breadth and quality enables its E&P customers to rely on the Company as a one-stop provider of reliable, safe, and fully compliant services. Value-Add Approach

CIVC identified ET as an interesting investment opportunity through CIVC's proactive "immersion" process, which combines deep industry research and focused origination efforts to identify unique investment opportunities in targeted industries. CIVC's immersion efforts identified service providers offering support services to shale energy development programs of E&P companies as attractive investment targets. In particular, CIVC was attracted to the strong secular growth in North American drilling and hydraulic fracturing, the barriers to entry created by high safety and regulatory compliance standards required of service providers by E&P customers, and the value customers place on quality, responsive services. Ultimately, CIVC was introduced to Dave Florance, ET's founder and CEO, who was interested in finding a partner to assist him in growing his business. The Company fit directly with CIVC's investment criteria due to its attractive competitive position in the growing Marcellus and Utica Shales, its broad portfolio of well site services provided to blue-chip E&Ps, and its diversified exposure to dry and wet natural gas, as well as crude oil. Going forward, CIVC will work closely with ET in building out the Company’s financial reporting, planning, and analytical capabilities, enhancing the management team, supporting the Company’s capital investment plans and growth strategy, and assisting with new market entrys as well as strategic acquisitions.
